One Time In: Studio
Objects from a life
made in places.
Guy Mizrachy is a designer, illustrator, and maker working from Brooklyn, New York. For over fourteen years he has been building brands, drawing cities, sewing bags, and making objects that hold a moment in time.
Born into a city that remembers everything.
Guy grew up in Jerusalem — a city layered with stories, architecture, and memory. It’s where he first understood that places leave marks on people, and people leave marks on places. That idea never left him.
It drove him to Shenkar, Israel’s most prestigious design school, where he studied architecture, interior design, and visual communication — learning to see the world as a series of problems worth solving beautifully.
A city that taught him how to look.
Tel Aviv gave Guy his professional voice. Working across brand identity, illustration, and environmental design, he learned that the best work doesn’t just look good — it lives in the world. On walls, in restaurants, on packaging, on skin.
His studio work took him deep into the language of cities — the way a neighborhood feels at golden hour, the way a street corner tells a story. This became Mekomi: cityscape art that documents the places people call home.
New York gave him his hands back.
Moving to New York pushed Guy back to his most instinctive making. Combining the sewing skills his grandmother taught him with his love for industrial design and street fashion, he created Red Thread Bag — handmade one-off drawstrings born in his Bushwick studio, each named after a Brooklyn street.
One Time In Studio is the sum of all of it. Jerusalem’s memory. Tel Aviv’s eye. Brooklyn’s hands. Objects made once, made on purpose, made to be carried into someone’s life.
Design is how I understand the world.
Since 2010, Guy has worked with restaurants, hotels, entrepreneurs, and brands across Israel and New York — creating identities that live beyond the logo. Creamline, Miznon, HaSalon, Sachi Ramen, Mayer House Boutique Hotel — each project a collaboration between a place, its people, and the story they want to tell.
Alongside client work, One Time In Studio is his personal universe — where the things he makes for himself, and for you, carry no brief except to be honest, beautiful, and built to last.
